"So Who the Devil are Ted Can't Hear Ya"...
and "Why the Silly Name?"

Ted Can't Hear Ya are a five-piece Medway based Folk-Rock band - well loosely termed 'Folk-Rock' In-fact Ted Can't Hear Ya are difficult to 'pigeon-hole' and it is that which makes then different.

Yes they play folk, yes they play it in a very 'rocky' way - but their music is also very Celtic, very punky, sometimes 'grungy' sometimes heart-wrenchingly pure - but always emotionally charged, loud, tight, and powerful. Their music never fails to move you in one way or another!

To get an idea of Ted Can't Hear Ya's sound we have to look at several things. Punk-Rock/Folk/Rock/Grunge To get an idea of who they are influenced by, we have to mention many bands.

The Albion Band, Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, Flogging Molly, The Levellers, New Model Army, The Clash, 999, The Sex Pistols, James, The Pogues, The Men They Couldn't Hang and Shooglenifty, to name but a few! A strange mix indeed.

So put all this lot together and you arrive at Ted Can't Hear Ya - one review of a gig recently said - "Be warned Ted Can't Hear Ya don't do folk for the faint-hearted!"
